Boulder's efforts with youth began in 1984 with the introduction of the High School Boys team providing the opportunity for high school boys in Boulder County to compete against other high school teams throughout the Front Range. Over the years well over 500 boys have competed for Boulder and several have gone on to play and excel with the senior club. The lads have exemplified the spirit of the game and have been a great reflection on the Boulder Rugby Athletic Club.

CLUB DESCRIPTION:
Fort Collins Youth Rugby was started as a P.E. class at Fort Collins High School by Jim Opperman in 1984 and has continued to grow with the advent of the girl’s team in 2000. Both Jim and Greg’s idea were to introduce rugby to high school students and get them to love a sport that we have for many years and both continue to play. Impossible to estimate how many players have played for Fort Collins but the idea of getting them to love the sport like we have has continued to work as many former players are playing for teams now all over the world and many have also taken up coaching including several in Colorado coaching both high school teams and college teams.

CLUB DESCRIPTION (One Paragraph): Tigers Rugby is an independent non-profit corporation that has no direct affiliation with any school. Tigers Rugby began as a program for off season training, by players and coaches who won two football state champions at Holy Family HS. In the last five years we have won two division championships in rugby, received a coach of the year award, a player of the year award, and two team sportsmanship awards from Colorado Youth Rugby. We methodically coach the proper development of skills and the principles safe play. We train with a License Physical Therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to increase our strength, speed, and mobility. The most fun of all is that we teach a great balance of sportsmanship and tactical strategies that help our teams compete successfully in any game of rugby.
